Hero Motocorp Ltd. has revealed its very latest 200 Cylinder Capacity (cc) roadster, Xtreme 200R. The model is all set to make its debut in India. Xtreme 200S from Hero was showcased for the first time at Auto Expo of 2016 and this model has been designed on the similar concept. In-house designers, engineers and developers are to be given credit for this model. Its engine is a derivative of Hero Achiever’s engine that was 150 cc. According to the manufacturer, for this model they have worked on 5 major elements—brake, sound, stability, engine performance, comfort design and user-friendliness. The motorcycle takes 4.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph and can run at 112 kmph (maximum speed).

As the Xtreme 200R is backed by a powerful 200 cc engine of single cylinder, it can make 18.4 brake horse power at 8500 rotation per minute and at 6500 rotation per minute it gives 17.1 Newton meter torque. In addition, the vibrations are kept to a minimum with balancer shaft. Hero claims that Xtreme 200R’s engine is designed in a way to dispense low torque. Thus, riding the bike in heavy traffic will be a lot easier.

The bike is bedecked with LED position lamps and tail lamp which is also LED, with a half-digital, half-analogue speedometer. The rear has 8-step adaptable monoshock and 37mm telescopic forks at the front. It has 276 mm front brake disc and 220 mm rear disc brake. You will also get an option of single-channel anti-lock braking system. Hero, for the first time, is giving radical tires. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 146 kg.

There will be 5 different color options to choose from. The prices will be unveiled in April this year. It is expected that he delivers will start as soon as the launching. This model of hero will give a tough competition to new RTR 200 4V from TVS Apache and NS200 from Bajaj Pulsar. Hero claims that Xtreme 200R is the ideal combo of performance and fuel economy.  It will consume just one liter to travel 40 kilometers.
